Airbag recalls - Both?

I was talking to my wholesale parts rep the other day, and had him run my VIN to see if the passenger airbag recall had been performed.
He informed me that there were actually two outstanding recalls for airbags - both the driver and passenger airbags?

Passenger airbag can be done anytime, but BMW claims to have no ETA on driver airbag recall/resolution??
Just curious if this is the same message everyone else has received?

All of our E46 loaners (325i/328i) have had the pass airbag recalls performed, and never a mention of a driver airbag recall.

No replacement E46 driver airbags are ready yet. The passenger replacements are more generic and used in multiple cars, and since there are more of those getting those replacements made was easier and quicker.
