Thoughts on this?

My AC started to act weird again. I replaced the lines last summer and it worked till last week. I got some maintenance work done on it (replaced radiator, lower radiator hose, coolant tank, power steering return hose) and after a few days it stopped working. I know those parts would not affect the AC but just a bit of a back story.

I took it into a shop and he told me that the pressure is too high and that the AC compressor isn't kicking in. He told me to replace the compressor and start from there.

Any thoughts on this? Anyone have an experience in AC?

If I were you I'd get a second opinion. Seems to me that if you replaced the lines and it worked for two weeks, then that points to a refrigerant leak not an over pressure. But normally in that state the compressor will kick in and out immediately but this BMW system may be different.

SOLVED

It was the fan. I replaced it and now I have AC.
