Hello everyone!
Back in February I purchased a 2004 in Black Sapphire Metallic, AT, with just over 96K. All stock. Needless to say it's been fun.
Within the first month of purchase I replaced:
- Complete cooling system
- Fuel pump
- Control arms
- Brake booster hose and check valve
The car runs excellent although the power steering pressure hose has a little leak and I'm also trying to diagnose some excess steering wheel play.
The interior is natural brown leather. Typical saggy cloth on pillars but not to the point where it bothers me. The previous owner wrapped the steering wheel in bike handle tape, at first it bothered me but it's actually grown on me. Not a fan of alcantara to be honest.
He also replaced the factory stereo with a Kenwood Bluetooth unit which I will be removing to reinstall the factory unit but with a GROM USB/Bluetooth interface. Hopefully this weekend.
And the next mod will be retrofitting Morimoto Mini DS2 4.0 s, those are on their way from Lightwerkz. I know it's going to require some dremel work but I really like the spread on these new projectors. I will document that process.
Oh, I am also the proud owner of an '89 325ix which is currently hogging my folks' garage as I replace all the suspension, brakes, power steering...down pipe with a broken flex joint...you name it! It was a one owner car that was gifted to me when I was doing my Theology undergrad, going on 300k miles. It's all stock. I'm hoping to have it running again in December.
Now for some pics!
