Replace Evaporator: Brand suggestions

My AC unit stopped blowing. After a recharge you could smell refrigerant through the vents. On a second look my mechanic said the evaporator had a bad leak and needs to be replace. He quoted $2k for the job since it is pretty invasive (remove dash ect).

Has anyone used the Mahle-Behr or REIN replacement instead of OEM? I've been debating getting the parts on my own and spending a day to replace.

Never done it but Rein shoould be ok. Get a quote from YourMechanic.com. Saved me a bundle (and my back) on a new alternator.
