Does anyone have a spare boot laying around? I need the plastic frame from a manual shift boot. I've exhausted all the options I can think of, and hate to ask Peter to glue the same boot twice.

oh man, don't kill yourself over it. i can glue it twice. :) after all, i spent like $20 on the special glue, i've got about 95% of the tube left!! ;)

i'm pretty sure mike @ coby lists the exact stuff on his website. i got it at michaels.

Not sure why special glue would be needed. Is it because of the alcantara?

I used super glue with my leather boot...

I used this with a bunch of file clips as shown. Left it clipped overnight and it came out great.

You did a good job gluing and I'm really nervous about separating these two. I'll just leave it be and continue trying to source a frame for myself.

no to concrete glue (and super glue makes the fabric stiff and chalky)
Fabri-tac is the glue I use
manual frames just buy a used boot/frame on ebay( I have them) but pay 25.00 to get them from a 3d imaging guy

yep, that was the one i used - excellent stuff!

This is what I have used on both of my new boots, works excellent and costs a few bucks at the fabric store

I used regular old contact cement on my coby boot...
