Anyone in the Dallas area looking for a very good set of used front tires? Visiting my sister, we replaced the tires on her C63 AMG this week, replaced all 4, the back tires were no good but the front set have 8/32nds tread remaining. Tires were bought/mounted last June, only have 6-7K miles, even wear, no plugs or patches. They are Michelin Pilot Sport A/3's, size is 235/40ZR18. And yes, 235/40's will fit and clear on your stock 135 wheels, ran that size on many of e46s my family has owned. The 10mm of additional width gives you 5mm more bulge on each sidewall to hopefully better protect your wheels, I posted an ad on the local CL here:

Willing to give a local Mafiaso a better price ($100) but need them picked up today, Saturday April 1st. Best way to reach me is via the cell # listed in the ad.

My sister is single and does not want to deal with CL strangers so I will cancel the CL ad tonight if they don't sell. We mounted 235/40 & 265/35 on the 335is at home, both 10mm wider than stock, this pair would be a great spare pair for that car. But I fly back to VA in the morning and can't carry them with me on the plane.

SOLD - local used tire dealer called, asked if I could run them by, I did, he bought them. I didn't have a tire gauge here, he measured them at 8.5-9/32nds each in tread depth, sorry I didn't have time to link up with a mafia member for these, it was a nice pair of tires.

BTW, Continental DWS 06 tires a much smoother ride than the Michelin Pilot Sports it had, believe the sidewall is more forgiving. My sister is not going to carve up any ess turns with her C63 AMG like some of you do with your ZHPs, the car is too heavy, but she's very liberal in applying that nearly 500 hp in a straight line. She told me she hasn't had a set of rear tires last more than 10K so far, I've ridden with her and can vouch for her lead foot, she breaks the rears loose all the time.

That was a sweet deal. I had the same size (fronts) on my e90 with sports package. No issues at all. :thumbsup
