GLWS!

You had mentioned you had a coupe rear sunshade kit, do still plan to put that up for sale?

That PDC kit sounds very tempting - that's the one feature I am really envious of in newer cars. I wish CAD/USD FX was not so crappy right now.

GLWS!!

I used to think PDC was completely unnecessary and never paid it any attention. To be fair, our cars don't really need it because visibility is decent, but as cars get bigger and visibility decreases, it is definitely becoming more helpful. That said, my car has it and I really like it. It's simple and just works. The space left when the PDC does a solid tone is probably about 14", so you have a fair amount of space left to play with when it beeps at you to STOP

thanks, this kit should be a good deal since the full kit on ECS is $421 + shipping and it does not include the bumper molding either which is another $60+ dollars + shipping.

me too! my goal was is to have my car have every option available. i'm really nerdy about vehicle options. i'm even adding the headlight washer system despite everyone saying its crap and breaks. there's just something about it that makes the car have a more premium feel.

this sunshade is mint, i wish I would have put this one in my car. the one in my car is older from a pre face lift car and you can tell the motor was a little tired but this one for sale is super clean smooth.

YES! i bought the setup from a black car with covers and was going to get them painted but would love an imola set thats already weathered/painted. it will match better than a freshly painted set.

please let me know how much and shipping to 30043 just the covers.. if you dont want to separate the covers from the entire setup I completely understand.

Want to get rid of your old non-washer covers? I'm thinking of swapping mine out for the non-washer kind, especially since one of mine is broken almost completely. While it pains me to think about getting rid of an "option", they're also a PITA to deal with when taking them out. lol

bump.

have got a few estimates for shipping on this sunshade and its been a consistent $60ish dollars to California and Michigan.

I can split shipping with someone and just say sunshade would be $430 shipped and insured.

PDC system lower price to $325 + shipping

I too was considering buying the PDC...but the retrofit is a PITA. You should go for it!

the retrofit is not hard. its like 6 wires that go into the fusebox and 2 wires that go over to the driver side kick panel for the gong. its all plug and play besides that. and there is a PDF retrofit guide that tells you which wires are for what and where they go with pictures and code numbers.

i made the power harness oit of the same wires that BMW uses in the retrofit guide so its spot on now.

Your sport button mod is different right? Has new leds soldered in? I could possibly mod this one to do what yours does. I just need thr specific diy you used for yours so i know what to do.

Unfortunately Sunshade needs a very specific PCB board that has a unique capacitor on it to handle switching 12 volt power source and a non sunshade switch center can not be modded to add it but it shouldn't be too hard to mod the board i have for what ever sport button mod you have done.

I don't think the buttons are able to be swapped out between panels, at least that's the impression I've gotten when asking in the past. My sport button would need to go where the TPMS button is on your panel.

I don't think the buttons are able to be swapped out between panels, at least that's the impression I've gotten when asking in the past. My sport button would need to go where the TPMS button is on your panel.

switch panels are coded in hex values and each button has a label POS1, POS2, POS3 and so on. some bars have empty receptacles already soldered on the boards and you just plug in a spare button and code the specific position for what you want. thats what I did with the switch bar in my ad. it originally only had heated sets, DSC and sunshade and nothign else. i knew it wouldnt be useful to many people with out hifi so i pulled it apaet and saw it had spare receptables that were behind the plastic surround. once i had the buttons plugged in then i coded it.

in your case, you sport button mod is just a modded M3 sport button for the LEDs but it still outputs the sportbutton signal to pin 17 of the switch center plug and the LED wire (normally pin 18 of switch center to the DME) is probably going to your sprint booster control module etc...

you can remove the TPMS button and just swap in your sport button and instead of coding anything just grab signal from pin 2 of the switch center plug instead as thats the output for TPMS/RDC

just sharing some information.
