Found this (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01M1CRHG4/) while searching around, having found more expensive versions dyed hyper-green. promoted on sites selling to the BMW accessories aftermarket. This is much cheaper, if you don't mind waiting for a couple weeks for shipment from Japan. Great on much of the dash and center console: a gel that only an octopus could love, which picks up dust and grit from very hard-to-reach places. I bought two- the second's for the engine compartment, where results have been more mixed. For one thing it can't get really into the high beam covers (odd triangular molded plastic), and you run a substantial risk of losing control of the stuff and having it fall down into the engine compartment somewhere. Use on a cool or slightly warm compartment only.

At any rate: me likey.

Hey no problem- what is not clear? I do not write well any longer.

PS: if it helps, see this.

Ah, makes sense now. I didn't know what it was until you sent that link.
Cool product. Bummer that it can't be used in the summer though (according to Bimmian's instructions) as it's always above 70 in the summer.

I used to have a cheapo version of this I got at Marshall's. It was marketed for getting gunk out of computer keyboards, and worked really well under window switches, dash vents, etc.

I always forget to look for another one.

Yeah- it definitely seems like something that wants to liquefy. Glad you caught that!
