With a recent suspension install I noticed the headlights were aimed low. Upon checking underneath it's because the little arm coming out of the sensor was broken/not attached to the part on the control arm. I will look into getting a new or used sensor/parts to fix it ASAP, but I am wondering if adjusting the headlights manually will be detrimental at all? I tried searching but didn't really find an answer to my question. I am new to the self-leveling headlights and don't want to screw anything up. Thanks in advance you guys.

Sorry, I don't understand your question... you can thank your iPhone's autocorrect for that. :)

When mine broke, it would do the self level thing, but not know what position to finalize in, so it would sometimes stay aimed down low. As long as it's broken, you're probably going to have to keep adjusting it manually. That'll get old really quick. Then you'll find that you've reached the "end" of the adjustment points and the alignment will be all kinds of out of whack when you do finally replace it.

Thankfully these aren't that expensive and is easy to replace, so you might as well do it sooner than later.

how are you guys adjusting them manually? with the knobs on the light housing them selves? or the euro face plate with the level adjustment knob?

Adjusters on the headlights.
The knobs on a euro LCM faceplate installed on a US LCM isn't going to do anything.

Move the little plastic arm up so that it's level (like parallel with the ground). Then adjust it manually. If you don't do that, it'll always adjust too low/high.

The manual adjusters are on the headlight. I also disconnected the auto-adjust connector on the headlight assembly as well since my passenger side headlamp would always choose a different vertical height every time.

Mine was doing that. The issue was the stepper motor in the headlight had to be replaced. It has a part number so it can be repaired.
