Hello all,

I have recently picked up a manual 2006 330ci Zhp in imola red with the alcantara interior. It has the cold weather package, navigation and just happens to be a European Delivery car(it has the first aid kit, warning triangle)! I had been searching for the perfect car for just under a year when I saw this car listed by a private seller in Chicago. I know how fast these cars go, and was able to pick this one up before someone else! Dropped everything and drove 11 hours to pick up the car. The car was mostly as expected besides a few things; and I wasn't leaving without it after that drive.

It's been just about 2 months since I've had the car and I've done a few minor things since then; including a new Zhp shift knob, new oem floor mats, and took off the front license plate. I'm not experienced when it comes to mechanical work, so this forum will help a lot! Now for some pictures.

Great combo. Congrats. What part of GA? I was stationed in August and Columbus.

"ZHP is a garbage option anyway- just some cosmetic upgrades with a different cam and diff to claw back some of the performance lost fitting those hideous and heavy wheels. Any 330 with a 3.46 diff will smoke a ZHP every time. The whole Mafia thing reeks of childish behavior." - anonymous E46 fanatic

Welcome, my parents are in Cherokee country however, I'm in MD until Christmas time. Definitely down for a drive whenever I go back home. Gotta love the country roads around Alpharetta. Im itching for them so much up here in suburbia

Thanks for the welcome guys, I'm looking forward to becoming more active on the forum. The car has a few things that are going to be taken care of by my Indy this weekend, and I wanted some recommendations on parts. The VCG, vanos oil line, OFHG, FCAB and the ALM module on my drivers side headlight will all be replaced. I've read about the viton OFHG by bavauto and it looks to be a better option compared to the OEM one. However, my shop warranties their work and OEM parts for two years, and using this part would not be covered under the warranty. Should I just go with the OEM gasket to keep the warranty, or use the better Viton gasket? In addition to this, I've read up on the Z4m FCABs and am conflicted on whether to use those or the OEM ones. I'm interested to hear your opinions and feedback.

I personally would go with the Viton OFHG. It's what I plan to use whenever mine fails, but I plan to do that maintenance myself. The OEM OFHG should not fail in under two years, so it's unlikely you'll trigger their labor warranty anyways.

I have the Z4M FCABs and like them a lot. With that said, I probably would have been just as happy to have a new set of standard FCABs. Really a personal preference.

Definitely go with the Viton if you can. The OE gasket will fail in 2.5 years.

Went ahead and ordered the Viton gasket.
