I thought you either recently sold a ZHP or were going to sell one after you acquired a buttload of parts??

Happy hunting!

If that was alpine white or mystic I’d probably be dumb enough to pay that price.

I sold my zhp and my stash of parts when I acquired a 2010 535it msport back in the fall. It is missing a pedal and I’m very bored with it already.

So I'm in the Northeast, considering a sale. My kid can't decide if he wants it or not:

03 ZHP Sedan - KM03638
Silver Grey / Black Alcantara
84k miles
6 MT (newish knob)
Sunroof
Black cube
Xenons (AL, not ZKW)
Heated seats
LeatherZ triple gauge set (in Alcantara panel)
M3 tri-stitch leather wheel
M3 strut brace
M3 dead pedal
BMW Performance Air Filter assy
BMW Performance Rotors (F+R installed, plus an extra new set in boxes)
Strut tower reinforcement plates (need installing)
Euro roller tray (cupholder delete)
OEM Hella clears F+R (they are starting to cloud a bit)
Rear roller sunblind
Side sunblind (rear doors)
TMS underdrive pulleys
Style 135 18in staggered w/Potenza RE040 (tires worn; wheels as new, ZERO rash)
Style 79 17in square w/Conti Wintercontact (newish)

Maintenance stuff (exact mileage in records):
Vanos rebuild (Dr Vanos kit)
GAS DISA kit (w/ the fancy blue o-ring)
Belts (Conti)
Tensioners, idler (INA, hydraulic version retrofitted)
Expansion tank (Genuine)
Stewart water pump
Thermostat (Wahler)
Upper/lower hoses (Conti)
OFHG
CVV/oil separator and all hoses, inc Vanos line, dipstick o-ring and cleanout
Lemforder control arms (the real ZHP ones, with solid ball joints)
Lemforder FCABs
Starter (Bosch)
Deka AGM battery
Redline MTL/MT90 (50/50mix) in gearbox, 75W-90 in diff
ATE Superblue in MC, fluid due for change
Sunroof sliders rebuilt, shade works fine
New OEM mats somewhere along the line, added BMW splined locking wheel lugs.
Have all the keys and everything that it came with on delivery

Disclosure:
It has a ding that I haven't made time to have addressed yet... some dufus with a ball hitch backed into the strip between the front grilles and dented it. You have to look to see it. Wife backed into the rear fender arch above the rear wheel, dealer repair. Cheaper than new wife.
Some asshat tried to steal the rear lip spoiler; they got half of it. Replaced with genuine original (dealer). Small ding at corner.

The A-pillars are peeling, they need to be glued/replaced, been too lazy. Rear Parcel shelf is fading; it needs to be dyed, been too lazy. Driver's side alcantara bolster is ripped (they all rip sooner or later). I have the material to fix. The plastic cowl (windshield base) is cracked (they all crack).

I bought this at Otto's BMW with 3k miles in June 03 and have personally driven every mile on it. I have a three, maybe four inch thick binder for all service/maintenance and have been religious about oil changes (M1 0w-40 or Castrol 0w-40) every 7500miles or so. I have the window sticker and an original dealer press kit for the ZHP introduction. The PA vanity plate is "ZHP" ... yeah, I'm that guy, lol.

My son can't decide if he wants to take it to Drexel or not, for the next school year. He might (or might not) need a car to commute for co-op. If he doesn't take it, I'll spring to have the hood ding fixed and pretty up the other bits above and sell it. Unless a really good offer comes along.

I’m looking for low mileage. Though this sounds like a great example!

That’s pretty low mileage these days. Dealers like EAG might be a an easier bet

Umm... an average of 5.6k miles a year is VERY low.

I'm looking for sub 50k miles. They are certainly out there. I'm hoping by posting this, someone will reach out to me before they advertise it and EAG steals it and doubles the price! I assure you that $35k example they sold recently didn't cost them a dime over $17k on the buy side. Then I can address all the deferred / preventative maintenance through my guy at $65 per hour instead of paying a $15k net premium to them!

Sub 50k miles for a 12+ year old car would mean it was driven so infrequently that you'd probably have more issues than with something closer to 100k miles

No worries. Good luck with the search; a sub 50k 6-speed will be like The Holy Grail.

it could be. but it really depends on the car, as even low-mileage ZHPs are a minimum of 13 years old now. rubber degrades. a lot of PM will need to be done on a sub-50K mile car if it's 100% original.

This was my car 3 years ago. 49k miles. 6MT.

I did basically all the preventative maintenance I’d do on a car with double the mileage, but spent a premium for the low mileage.

Anyways, sorry to get off topic. GLWS, I’ll be impressed if you find something that fits the bill in the very near future. Sub 70k examples are becoming increasingly rare.

yep, those are M3 replica mirrors - although, not really replicas because the shape is totally different... i don't like how they are angled upwards.

anyway. nice looking car, except for the strange things on the pedals, and the driver's side strut tower appears to be mushroomed a bit. looks like a good value for the miles and options... especially considering it's an '05.
