Parting out a non-working E46 M3 instrument cluster. Cosmetically the whole cluster is in great condition, except that the shade at the top got a broken tab on the right. Also the color on the fuel gauge needle is a little faded.

Parts I think worth parting out (everything is OBO):

1) Silver Gauge Rings w/ Front Glass (all 4): $20
2) Orange needles (all 5): SOLD
3) Faceplate: SOLD
4) Odometer LCD: $10
5) Warning lights cover (left): $5
6) Warning lights cover (right w/ SMG cutout): $5
9) Rear cover: $10
10) Turn/Push knobs (both): SOLD
*11) Shade w/ broken tab: free plus shipping (tab can be glued back)

Let me know what you are interested in and PM me with an offer.

Thanks!

Is this cluster repairable? What is the failure? I may be interested in trying to fix it.

Already took the money for the needles and someone showed interest in the clear glass as well over M3f. This is an eBay return that buyer claimed to be not functioning, and it picked up some internal physical damage during the return. So I won't bother with repairing for this one. Thanks for reaching out anyway!

I know this is a 4 year old thread... Any chance you still have some of this stuff laying around and/or other clusters?

Fair enough. Maybe he gets emails.

I have a working M3 cluster thats only missing the clear light diffuser piece... Hard to google search for a part that doesnt get sold separately so I am trying even hail-mary passes.

Its a clear piece of plastic that goes below the face graphic which you see. Its the same size of the cluster and covers all 4 gauges. Its different on non-M because it doesnt have the diffusers for the shift lights.
The LED's for 6-6.5k and 6.5-7k RPM are not below the hole in the graphic due to packaging of the PCB. They are offset by about 1cm to the 1-2 oclock direction from the hole, so the clear plastic diffuser is required or they are much dimmer than the other lights.
