I always wanted an ESS TS2. I came really close to buying a few cars .... But none of them were really "right" for me. (Besides, I've never been happy with someone else's project.)

So, this came along. My favorite color, high miles, lots of leaks, needs some cosmetics....BUT a solid platform. Why not?

Plans: Take it all apart, clean / rebuild, throw some money at it, and put it back together.

Here we go......

Day 1: Take for drive, powerwash enginebay.

(Looks like photobucket went down the drain..... so where to host pictures?)

Nice. I switched over to flickr. It's a little more time consuming to get the links to post. But it's better quality.

thanks guys.
appreciate the heads up for flickr.

Day 2-4:

pull engine / drivetrain.
powerwash and scrub undercarriage.
powerwash engine. (oil residue from leaks.... pan, ps lines, vanos line, snout of twin screw.)
disassemble engine accessories and get a game plan.

Hey jason, check out imgbb.com. They have easy quicklinks for the bbcode image tags and links.

Also I just thought of something, you mentioned oil coming out of the snout of the twin screw? That's normal if its overfilled with oil. You'll get oil coming out the snout in the middle of the pulley and slinging around the engine bay. Maybe PO overfilled just before selling the car thinking he did maintenance?
