caused some damage to my roof on the sedan. it has a sunroof so i will look into going slicktop or CF roof if I can find a quality piece.

since there is no OEM option im very weary on aftermarket parts for such an important piece.

i cant find any pictures or threads of anyone that has done this and the global THREAD search on e46 always gives me DATABASE errors so i cant do a good search like i want. i can only search posts and that doesnt work well for me.

im looking for one that has a nice gloss finish not dry or raw carbon for racing only setups.

any suggestions?

A while back I've seen a carbon fiber roof for a sedan , and I think it was an overlay that would go on top of the roof .

Have you looked at Bimmerworld?

I had to go back and read it again, but he's definitely looking for the whole roof section. There are several guys on m3f that have done this, but I've only seen it on coupes.

Shawn, you may want to reach out to these guys. They do amazing work for a reasonable price.

I'd be interested in one as well.

I'm not sure anyone makes a sedan version of the CF roofline.

If anyone would do it, it might be RKP. They recently rereleased all of E9x CF bits as they bought Challenge's molds. Maybe they have the E46 molds too?

Why did you decide against the carbon roof, cost or availability?

Pretty sure there isn't a full carbon roof for the car. They have sunroof delete panels for sure.

Correct, I guess I misunderstood his original post. I thought he knew there weren't any off the shelf carbon sedan roofs and that he was looking into having one or a small batch made.

well there is one company.. LANG RACING here in the states. they make it them selves. so one day I may go with them but for now I'm just going to repair/PDR the roof and respray with a fresh coat of paint for good measure.

thanks everyone

I didn't know Lang made roofs for sedans, I'll keep that in mind. I asked him about making a small batch for wagons and he said no, lol.
