Window Regulator Consensus

So inevitably my rear right window regulator broke.

What is the consensus on fixing it? Just the zip-tie fix, or are there better repair options available?
Ebay yields some fix kids, but I always take these with a grain of salt.

I think I read that the zip-tie fix only applies to the front windows.

I’d replace it (I installed zip ties on the new one in an effort to prevent future failures).

I have the URO Premium regulator and can say that it still pops and creaks occasionally. I've only had it for 2 years or so and it's been doing it for quite a while. But, it still works fine. The occasional LOUD POP I hear every once in a while startles me, but hasn't affected the operation just yet.

I'll report back. It looks like it has a metal housing as opposed to a plastic one.

Just ran across this thread...I bought one of the URO 'Premium' window regulators for my wife's previous E53 X5. Exactly one year later, it failed. The seller did warranty the failed regulator, but buyer beware...from my experience these 'premium' regulators are no better than the $25 regulators you can get from eBay. And yes, I actually use those $25 eBay regulators and they have lasted longer than a year. Matter of fact, around 3 years now and going strong.
