Due to not being able to find a replacement motor or a machine shop that has the common decency to reply to my emails and phone calls. I have decided to sell my car as a whole parts car. Will not be parting out myself due to lack of space at the house.

Car ran just find besides oil consumption from rings, bought it like that three years ago.

Motor has oil in 1-2-3 cylinders with 2 not firing - tons of smoke - eating oil at idle. Yes I replaced the CCV.

Any questions feel free to PM or email the craiglist add.

Yeah, plus paying for shipping probably already out of budget.

that's good, because i don't have a lot of time and i'm also like 2800 miles away.

but frig, i want the car and i DO have a good motor. shipping would likely be half what you're asking for the car.

Yeah Im sure its a few hundred to get it up on a truck and get it here, specially across the boarder. Like I said, if I had a motor I'd keep the darn thing.

Oh well! Time to try something else the ZHP will always have a special place with me along side the E30

Dang, this makes me sad. I'm still looking for a used engine for you, just in case :)

Wouldn't it be easier just to find any 330 motor and and put that in as one of the cams? There should be a lot of motors in a California area as well against ship right up there.or just find a parts car that has a good motor and swap out the motor and sell it will parts from the parts car.

If you're looking for carrier / freight forwarder for shipping an engine I used uship.com and would highly recommend them. I shipped from southern California to Garland, TX and it was about $300 (including lift-gate service at pickup), which I found reasonable. I built a "crate" with 2x4s, strapped the engine down and wrapped with plastic and it was good to go. The carrier ended up being UPS, Uship.com was the broker, but it was cheaper than a quote from UPS.com.

Seems like the option Tnhl1989 mentioned of regular m54 and swap over your cams is viable.
