I searched but found all the replacement key posts were from 2014 and earlier. I tried other searches but was unsuccessful as my choice of words yielded too many posts (I even picked "title only"). So, Sorry in advance if this has been beat to death.

What are our options for getting a new key these days? Dealer quoted $350. I only have one and need another.

You may want to check eEuroParts.com ... I bought one there for my F30.

Speaking of keys, are there any services for key battery replacements out there?

The fob batteries charge when in the ignition. Apparently the batteries are rarely a problem. Fob repair service is available here: www.bmwgm5.com
