I finally bit the bullet and got headers from someone local in my area.

I searched this forum for header questions but they are a bit out of date. My question is, does anyone know how to get rid of the CEL issue when the headers are installed? My mechanic suggests a tune.

Any help would be great, thanks! Sorry for starting another thread about headers.

What kind of headers are they? People have had some success with defoulers and O2 sims. I'm installing some now and trying the defouler strategy.

IMO, a tune will be able to utilize the uncorked pipe more than this option. I think it would be worth the trouble to get a tune.

I did the Active autowerke tune and has worked great since getting it.
