I’ll say it sells at 7800

Dinan goodies, TX car. Good find, Pete.

Edit: car was offered FS two years ago in Austin TX.

I might be in the minority here, but I think the Dinan trunk badges are super tacky. Really takes away from an otherwise very clean car.

I'll join you in that minority.... I also don't care for the debadging fad either, but I'm old (really old) school

I've never liked the Dinan badges, particularly in the way they space the letters.

I'm not in the same camp as Pete though; I like de-badged cars. That said, I've modified my car to the point that I decided to leave the 330i on the back so no one thinks my car is trying to be an M3 poser. ;)

Debadged is the way to go. I’d rather let people assume it’s stock anyways

I think my problem with debadging is that back in the day, no badges on the trunk meant there was probably body damage that was repaired

I can say I'm not going to go scrape "Samsung" off my refrigerator or my flat screen :blink

My car was debadged by the PO. Combine that with loud corsa exhaust i have now, I’m fairly certain enthusiasts think I’m a wannabe M3 poser

Seller states the Dinan adds (throttle body, exhaust, CAI) add 22hp. Is that correct?

I think those are the numbers quoted by Dinan. But I remember Rob (sockethead) saying he didn’t think his zhp was any faster after he got them installed on his car and it was a little underwhelming...

That's probably what dinan claims for each component, which is most likely bloated slightly. And then each part adds power in a different part of the powerband. It's probably 10HP max.

$7,600 with 19hrs to go. Could hit $10K with the usual 11th-hour rush.

Not far off on my guess so far

My guess: this car has a $10k reserve.

$9400 is the current bid with 20 minutes to go

Watching this auction and the price climb is just madness.

Daaaang. $13.25k ain't nothing to laugh at for a 125k mile car. It has a lot going for it though: 6MT, sedan, Imola, Texas car, Dinan bits.

Seems to me that people eat up when a car has Dinan parts. Given mileage, that seller admitted to tracking it, and numerous mentions of Dinan in the comments, it seems that it really helped drive up the price.

Yeah, I would not have paid anything near that for that car, but hey, to each their own.

It was a strong price for a nice, modified car. BAT usually rewards originality over aftermarket. But perhaps the Dinan name overcomes that somewhat. And Imola Red didn’t hurt. I’m not convinced my original 125k ZHP sedan is worth $13k, but it’s kinda fun to dream...

I find it interesting. I probably have enough DINAN with my Koni Sports to get a badge but, don’t need it. I took a DINAN badged ZHP for a test drive a few years back and it was a real disappointment.

I’m the second owner on mine, purchasing it CPO on 12/23/2006 and have every thing documented including every fill up since. I’m thinking it’s a very desirable car but, NOT FOR SALE!
