Hey everyone I'm Walter the founder of Valley Motorwerks and Kontrolle Engineering, the westcoast SpecE46 guys probably have heard of me. My love of the ZHP packaged cars started in 2004 when I bought a Black 2004 ZHP Coupe the year before starting Valley. Over the years I have owned, built, and raced many BMW's. Now that i have retired from the business (2015) working on cars is fun again lol. My current ride is a Grey 2004 ZHP sedan what I converted to cloth interior and 6 speed. She is near perfect as far what you'd want in a car... however I just bought a 2002 325iT and wondering what to do about it. Swap sub frames and drive lines, sell the ZHP and buy a wrecked M3 and swap that into the wagon.... just not sure.

Re-welcome! Whoa, M3 wagon sounds fun! But, tough to get rid of the ZHP.

Agreed - a ZHPT would best fit my needs - then I could sell the shell for a SpecE46 project. I want more hp and I've had many S/C'd BMW's but in California it's tough to make it go. That's why the S54 is a good fit...

Mmmm, Silbergrau sedans are beautiful

Nice to have you aboard, I might pick your brain with a SpecE46 question or two at some point in the future.

I am here to help - it is a great series and a natural after SpecE30 which I started on the west coast in 2006. Nice Husky - great breed - here's my Husky mix Luna - part of the reason to switch to a wagon.

Oh yeah we have a touring and the dogs love it. So much better than putting them in the back of a sedan.

Does your sedan have the fold down rear seat? If not, then you have a crazy stiff chassis on your hands that would be perfect for a spec car.

Hey another Japanrot touring owner! Welcome!

Since my ZHP died, I'm definitely doing a wagon ZHP conversion. I'm partial to the LS motor though. The S54 is ok, but it doesn't feel right to me to put it in the wagon.

@DeathTrap - not a fan of mixed breeds except for my puppy :P Living in California doesn't help either... it's hard enough getting a same make swap past smog.

@ZHPizza she's a non fold but honestly after the cage is in it's a moot point... I prefer building out a folding seat car... my E46M3 GT car had the rear panel and package deck removed and replaced with tubing and aluminum "firewall" due to class rules.

Thanks, huskies are great aren’t they? After a decade I can’t imagine having another breed. I love Luna’s coat—those hints of tan remind me of one of my dog’s puppies.

Once I’m closer to embarking on the club racing journey I’ll definitely be in touch. At this point I’m just praying my next HPDE doesn’t get canceled because of the virus.

Oh yeah forgot about the whole cage thing lol

That one looks great! I like how you captured all of the rear subframe mounts -- I feel like a lot of them only attach to the front mounts for some reason.

I lived in Sacramento for 8+ years and I believe I had my m3 serviced at your shop. Recently moved to San Diego a couple years ago but good to see you on the forum.
