The VCG at the top has been changed and looks good. The OFHG has been changed and looks good.

The front main seal is original, but the front of the pan looks pretty clean.

The oil pan gasket is original and a bit weepy. The AC pump is located above the oil pan gasket, so I’m a bit confused where it’s come from.

Any oil on the topside of the AC pump? How's the rest of the front of the engine, clean or oily? Exhaust-side CPS sensor oring?

I found the exhaust CPS and used my mirror to confirm it is clean on all sides.

Top side AC pump looks clean too.

The exhaust side of the block; where the coolant drain bolt is; is very very clean. It looks new, surprisingly.

Everything above the harmonic balancer looks clean.

Everything below it is oily. Looks like it’s the front main seal :(

+1 on front main seal. I just replaced mine and had similar leakage as your pictures. It was actually diagnosed at the dealer when I had the car in for the latest airbag recall. I chose to do it myself rather than pay the dealership rate.

How long did it take you?

Was dealing with the timing chain difficult?

Silver lining - this gives you an excuse to add a chain tensioner for the oil pump!
