I've always considered putting painted door/bumper trim on my car instead of the textured, i should definitely do that, looks amazing

Too bad about the driver’s seat bolster...

That's rough after 51,000 and it's not even alcantara. Must've been some furious rubbing or perhaps a cut

Auction ends in 4 hours. Current bid is $17,150. This car has a reserve.

It's interesting this one is still sitting so much lower than the other 50k mile sedan last week. Maybe some last minute bids will bump it up

Sold for $ 23k.

If that one got 23k, mine should get close to $30k.

They one was much tougher than the prior. Surprised it got that close...

I’d sell and plunk the money down on something better in no time, but there is nothing better.

I am thinking of selling my other unique car and replacing it with an Oxford Green ZHP sedan. Shall we talk? PM me. :-)

This is all making me think it's about time to sell my '03 ZHP, but wonder where on the appreciation curve the ZHPs are right now (just getting started - at the peak - on the way down?).

My silver gray sedan has 60,000 miles, garage kept, NV and AZ car, 6MT, dark gray Alcantara, sliver cube trim, HID, clear corners (with originals included), leather steering wheel, but also with the removed 46,000 miles Alcantara wheel that's had a cover on it most of those miles, not a ding in it (light rub on one lip corner that I'll be touching up soon). Looks like a new car underneath (never saw anything close to snow AFAIK). Anyone want to guess what a car like that would go for on BAT (or elsewhere)?

@habbyguy Sounds like a car many of the members will be interested including myself. Bill will probably contact you really quick as he is in the market and ready to pay good money for a low mile car like yours.

Thanks - I'd much rather see her go to an enthusiast than have some local guy buy it for his 18 year old son... ;-)

I honestly think prices are either stable or still on an upwards trend for low-mileage examples. With BMWs getting further from their "Ultimate Driving Machine" mantra and becoming more about luxury and volume, people are catching wise to the E39/E46 generation for their great DD capability and fun handling. The ZHP is one of the best iterations and with them being 14 years old minimum, low mileage examples are rare and worth the price of admission to a lot of people. Is there anything new on the market that is like a ZHP currently? $25k for a used but fun, dependable car might seem like a bargain compared to a newer car that's $40k+ that you have to eat the depreciation on.

That's just my take. I think it's ridiculous the prices that these cars are fetching right now.

habby, that is probably a $20k minimum car on BaT. Would be a couple/few grand more if a more desirable color combo (not that I don't LOVE silvergrey/alcantara, it was in my first zhp). Reference this thread: http://www.zhpmafia.com/forums/showthread.php?23349-ZHP-Sales-this-Year-on-BaT

I really love that spreadsheet - I'm a hardcore Excel junkie, and I also love the numbers it's showing. The closest thing I can find to mine is the recent (9/17) that looks to be the same car, going for $24,500. It does have 6,000 fewer miles. It's also got leather interior (mine is Alcantara - not sure which is the most desirable).

I've started the tedious process of detailing the car - too hot to wash it, but got a good start on the interior, engine compartment and trunk.

Alcantara FTW. I wish mine had it.

The Alcantara interior makes the ZHP extra special IMO.

^ agreed! i have come to like the NB color contrast but nothing beats the actual material like the textured fabric/suede combo.
