hmmm, reading the AutoCheck, what does "REGISTRATION EVENT/RENEWAL EXCLUDED/EXEMPT" starting in 2018 imply? Exempt to me either means salvage or true mileage unknown (TMU)

Some states (TX included) do not require to enter current miles for titles issued to cars 10+ years old. Title will show EXEMPT in those cases.

Thanks Fredo, I understand that some states do that. But this one changed from being a normal renewal for years to exempt in 2018:
