The 11 year-old partial knee replacement in my left leg is now well into the exit lane. I will likely be swapping it out for a total knee replacement in March or April, depending upon pre-surgery PT and the surgeon's schedule. I will not be driving my 6 MT ZHP for approximately two months while undergoing post-surgery PT and afterwards will be capable of working the clutch. Is that a correct assumption?

Thanks in advance for your insights and experiences.

Good luck with your recovery and return to full mobility. I'd think a physical therapist should be told that your goal during recovery is to push that clutch in as soon as possible! Maybe they could focus on that motion!

Yup! Ask your surgeon and I'd tell your PT your goals.

Last night I did considerable internet searching on the topic. There are folks who returned to driving manual transmissions within three months and some who never did get fully happy driving in an urban environment with lots of clutching. Decisions, decisions, decisions . . . . . . . .
