View Full Version : Split front spoiler/diffuser - yay or nay?

I ran across a ZHP for sale that had a split spoiler/front diffuser added. I am not sure on this look - but these would actually cover up some damage on my car from the bottom of the bumper scraping (though adding something that's even LOWER to the car will make that problem worse when my wife (and maybe even me now and then) hits parking blocks and things).

Anyway unsure who the manufacturer or these are but curious on opinions of them.

38186Those were the other splitters they used to sell , but they are not available anywhere. The y were oem . The other similar ones are called club sport splitters if I remember correctly

Those are original BMW M Performance splitters.

Alternatively you can get the original BMW Clubsport splitters, which were available on Clubsport models.

I have the clubsport splitters on my zhp. I can give tips on sourcing and the install if you are interested.

Personally I'm not a fan. Looks kinda like an afterthought and the "fangs" are just too sharp, which doesn't go well with the rest of the car. Just my opinion though

I think it works better in the original color:

I still wouldn't put in on my car though if it's not a Clubsport.

I agree, just too sharp for the roundish/flowy body style E46.

I like the OEM c/f splitters, not so much the clubsport.

I like the club sport. But only when molded to the bumper like I did on my car.

I bought a full-front splitter over a year ago (substantially discounted), but then I had my car painted (including the bumper cover), and now I just can’t bring myself to drill into it.
