Steering Rack Rebuild

My steering rack sprung a leak and needs to be replaced. I've found a replacement YT 712 rack that also needs a rebuild. I've found this video which shows the process but I'm wondering if anyone has specifically done the 712 rack and if the replacement seal kit is universal.

If anyone else has done this and has any pointers, I'd appreciate any advice.

Did you end up doing the rebuild? Any good resources you’d recommend before I take the plunge? I believe I have a failing rack and it doesn’t look like the 712 rack is still around. So much of what I love about this car is the heaviness of the steering. Really would prefer to keep it that way vs swapping in a different E46 rack.
