So this should be THE easiest thing, even I can do this, but still a problem, which is why I hate dealing with auto work.

I got the filter, insert, and the cover is closing but a little tight... I watched some videos and cant see if I did anything wrong, it seems right, but the middle screw keeps popping off, and the right screw is a bit loose and lost the spring, and the left one is the only one holding.

Is this as simple as getting 2 new screws or......?

They happen to be "only" $17 each gezuz krist.....
Screws....

It's straight forward, but the springy screws can fail/wear out & be a bit fiddly. You can find new cover locks for ~$15 each, unless someone has a parts car & can sell them cheaper.

Did you get the correct filter?

That price is just ridiculous, 3 of those is more expensive than the cooling pipe I just got!

Yes I double checked, just got it at my local AAP store, I know not the best but I'll get the FCP next time... I just wanted this DONE today and then this crap... ugh always something. As I seen the videos everything seems legit, just the screws.
