So its been a looong time since I replaced my brakes with ceramic (I dont use my brakes much), and last 2 times i had people check my brakes in shops and mechanics, they said it was fine.

But for months now when braking, the car shudders so there has to be something...

Even if they are not worn, can they just be wearing unevenly and I have to replace them anyways?

And if so are ceramic still the way to go for whatever reasons like durability, noise, lack of brake dust, performance, etc?

Try and bed the brakes and see if that helps. Usually does.

Did you wash your car with the brakes hot? It sounds like it could be warped rotors. Both my cars have that problem. You can have the rotors shaved, or replace them. You can use a dial gauge to check roundness while spinning the brakes.

Also check your front control arm bushings. They go bad a lot on these cars.

Ceramic pads dust less (or have lighter-colored dust) - that's about the only advantage.
