I don't want to ruin his sale, but that trunk alignment is way off. It's rubbing on the passenger tail (no gap), and there is a gap on the driver's side.

Right, maybe I didn’t describe it correctly. Something is definitely misaligned on that side. The tail light is either in or isn’t. If it is sitting in correctly, something is tweaked.
