Hey all!
Having some headlight issues and local indy shop diagnosed it as LCM failure. The quoted me $8XX for parts and labor which I understand is relatively fair as they're sourcing a new LCM. However, I do not want to pay that, so I've been diving into the DIY threads on here in order to do it myself.
A lot of great write ups and information, but I do have a couple of questions.
1. I currently have an M3 headlight switch SW 4.0 version in my eBay cart, but it has an Auto light setting. I have a 2003 ZHP sedan and as far as I can tell, I do not have the sensor, wiring, or switch for Auto. Is there anyway to swap the faceplate/dial on the new unit to the one I already have so I dont have a redundant Auto setting?
2. Most of the Coding/Flashing writeups involve PASoft. I have a 2019 MacBook Pro. Are there any options for running BMW coding software on a MacBook or am I restricted to running some version of Windows in VM and running PASoft in there?
Appreciate any help, cheers!
