No idea about the rear window, sorry :(. I'd look up a DYI on that, I bet there's one on e46f or here. In general though, that's what happens to our cars when they live outside. Mine lived in Sacramento, while the paint is mint, some of the rubber trim just dried up from the heat so I had to replace it.

I don't get it, I park on the end of a floor where no one parks (or not many) and its perfect for crossing a second floor breeze-way into the University Center from which you can go anywhere on campus.

Love it! I have a friend that had his strut towers tear away from the fender mount (whatever that is called). I checked mine and found the smallest of cracks and instantly ordered it. The roads here are insanely rough, plus the car is slightly lowered and on 19's.

I might have a better review for you if I drove the car more. I used to auto-x it WAY back in the day too. My but-o-meter (and hands on the wheel) feel like it helped, but then again it might just be the pilot super sports. I've yet to give them anything they cannot handle, but, again, I've only driven the car 3100 miles since last Christmas.

That sure is a plus! If I had one I probably would never use it though.
Somewhere I heard that it takes 30 pounds of weight off. Not sure how accurate that is though.

I'm sure there's added weight but why wouldn't you use it? I use it almost every day and it's pretty damn nice to have... when it works :) Mind you, I haven't had a problem with, yet. Maybe it's the California sunshine :pimp

Looks like a CF delete panel on eBay is around $300 (probably a good deal cheaper for fiberglass), then you'd need a non-sunroof headliner, which (IIRC) the average cost is around $500 (per E46f posts).

I really don't like these wheels. Looks out of place on this car in my eyes. The shift knob is good... the ZHP one feels a little more at home though due to its shape. I swap between the lighted ZHP knob Charlie gave me and this one to save on wear.

They are almost new so they're still fine. Once the salty crap comes who know what kind of rust will form on the hub.

Only suggestion I have (and this is not a photographer opinion, this is just the casual viewer) is that when you turn the wheels, you should do it so the wheels are exposed, not the tire tread... For instance, the wheel turn in pic #1 is wonderful, but in the next two pics, I'm not a huge fan...

I'd use plastic paint. There is no reason to use a removable product when you'll never end up taking it off. Just my opinion. I used Valspar Gloss Black from Lowe's.

Its covered in camo tape to hide what the emblem is (just in case you didn't know it was a BMW?!?!?), I believe the same stuff they put on the cars to mask the body lines...

I love the 2! I hope they go ahead and make a Gran Coupe version of it. It should be very comparable (in size) to our e46's.

Everyone hating on the rear makes me like it more and I guess BMW is trying to do like Audi and do different colored mirror caps. I would paint them gloss black.

I honestly don't know what you're talking about about the lights. The height may look high upfront because verts sag in the rear.
