Good luck with the sale.

Also, if you get a chance, feel free to post pictures. I see that you will email them upon request but you know how buyers are. Just trying to help you sell this thing.

Best to you.

Hi Speedy,

As Marcus suggested, can you post some pics when you get a minute please? Also, can you let us know the options in the car and the service history please?

I presume that the car is in TN, right?

Thanks!

I can change it for you. Thread titles can't be changed after a certain time has passed.

$20K is a very good price for a ZHP with 38,000 miles. Good luck!

Hope you don't forget to send them to me! :)

You might want to check your inbox; I emailed you a couple of times (after you last replied to my email two weeks back) requesting for the interior pics and also with some general queries.

Let me know if you prefer I post only on this thread.

Thanks!

Relax dude, I wasn't asking you to jump out and do something extraordinary. I was also referring to my emails earlier this week inquiring about the idler pulley that you said was replaced and the K&N CAI.

Michele, I am taking it that your car is totaled?

MsRN

The stealership quoted me $8K+ for suspension and wheels alone (and that's just what they saw without tearing the car apart). At 77,751 miles, my car is worth $13.5-$15K (roughly), which means the insurance company will total it at $9,500-$10,500. The adjuster is supposed to report on it by the end of the week, but I'm not holding my breath... :(

Hi Speedy,

Never received the interior pictures (not sure if you sent it to my yahoo but I don't recollect seeing them there either).

If you don't mind, can you post them here?

Thanks!

This car still around or did the owner disappear?

Marcus-SanDiego

Not sure if Speedy is still around or not. I do know that someone (a ZHPMafia.com member) has been negotiating with him. I believe a sale is near.

I got tired of requesting Speedy to respond with pictures. Think he subsequently posted this ad on cragislist too, making me wonder why he wasn't responding in our site.

In any case, hope it was picked up by one of us. (I might have pulled the trigger when I was still fine with spending that much money a month ago!)

My first ZHP! Actually my first BMW after owning a Taurus SHO (90's so don't hold it against me), an Audi S4 (original 5 cyl 20v Turbo) and a few others sports cars since then and I can honestly say this is a well balanced car in every respect, especially as a daily driver. Precise handling, excellent brakes, enough acceleration through all the gears and definitely as quick as an e36 M3 which is what I was also looking at buying. Look forward to many, many years of fun behind that //M steering wheel.

HI, welcome to the group!! :)

If you don't mind, can you share your views on the e36 m3 please? Have you driven it? You said the zhp is as quick as it; how about other things like control, connection etc? Thanks!

Thanks. I like the e36 M3 very much but could not get over the fact that it was hard to find one in GREAT condition. I think the ZHP handles as well as the older M3 and while it is not as torquey it can certainly keep up on the highway, trust me. I think the ZHP has more precise steering however it is light and I do prefer heavier steering. Brakes are probably equivalent. M3 feels quicker and is probably a little quicker to 60 if you can find one that has been well maintained, if. Overall, very comparable cars with the ZHP being newer it was an easy decision for me.

Thanks for that informative feedback. :)

Iimpressed with the e36 M3s considering that they were last manufactured in 1999. And a well maintained one can handle better than the newer zhps? wow!

I owned a 4door E36 M3 Automatic, prior to my current E39 M5, and I can honsetly say that I regret ever selling that M3. THat car was a daily driver was quick and agile and most of all reliable, I bought that car with 121k drove it for 18 mon. with 162k and all I changed on it that outside its regular maintenance was the radiator resovoir for $80.

Wow! Ringing endorsement indeed. Thanks for the color.

I came across a nice 99 M3 (stick, sedan) with <100k miles with excellent maintenance that was offered at $12k (with records of expensive upkeep and replacements). But the car has been tracked a lot and that makes me hesitate because I too will track it.
