Always been a P-car guy and never really looked at BMWs. Started looking a few weeks ago and found this one. 04 6mt, 60k miles, very well kept.

Welcome, friend. There are, as far as I know, no other ZHPMafia.com members from Montana. What's more, during the early days of the site, I remember waiting for a visitor -- any visitor -- from Montana to show up.

Glad to have our first Montana member.

Welcome to the Mafia. I lived in Great Falls, and went to school in Butte for 1.5 years. Where ya from?

Yes, the car came from Motor Team. I flew to Oakland on Weds, picked up the car and drove to Reno. Reno to Helena on Thursday. Great drive, Great weather.

Service Engine Light popped about 30 minutes into the trip...surprise! No codes were present when I read them. Found a discussion on fanatics about the intake boot. Sure enough, the upper boot has cracks. One is on the way. Other than that, the car seems solid.

When you change out the upper and lower intake boots, also clean the ICV (idle control valve) and inspect the DISA.

Where are you from?

Little bit of help for ya below.

I've only ever just driven through Montana, but it's a gorgeous state! That car will do well for you up there. Welcome!

ZHPMAfia obviously has a maturity filter that other BMW forums do not. Thanks for the great support!

I read through the Mx thread the other day. Great Work!

I will be 'contributing' often.

Yep. We want to be different than all of the other forums. Many of us are sick of the childish comments and immature behavior that's allowed to run rampant on those other sites. Fact is, drama and jackassery probably are good for page views. I'd rather have fewer page views here. Our members feel the same way.

It's all good here. We're glad you appreciate the brand of forum we're peddling here.
