I just learned of this site in the current Roundel and am very excited to be part of it.

I have an 04 330Cic ZHP "INDIVIDUAL" as it was factory built in Dakar Yellow/Black Leather - it's a head turner!

I use it sparingly "nice weather only" as has only 23,000 miles

The only modification made is the addition of a BMW front strut brace in stainless - wanted the CF one but they had been discontinued.

This addition made an incredible difference in body rigidity - always a problem for a convertible.

Welcome to the Family (pictures).

We are a very friendly bunch (pictures).

As opposed to other sites, we will use subtle, (pictures) friendly ways to get points across.

It's part of our Family (pictures) code.

Some less scrupulous members have even (pictures) been known to resort to subliminal hinting. :ninja

Welcome! Be sure to add your car to the ZHP registry http://www.zhpregistry.net/AddVInfo.aspx. Does anyone here have the ability to list his car as Dakar yellow?

Welcome! Did someone suggest he post pics? If that got missed somehow, allow me to gently hint that visual representation of said vehicle would be graciously accepted and appreciated.

PM ZHPRegistry.net here at ZHPMafia.com. Tell Norik, the owner of the registry, that you need to add Dakar yellow.

Welcome.

Did you buy the car in the last couple years or are you the original owner? I seem to recall seeing a Dakar Yellow E46 for sale somewhere.

There was a convertible dakar yellow ZHP that sold on eBay back in 2005. Is this the car you bought?

Looking forward to seeing the pictures.

I am working on pictures - soon

I bought the car when it was 9 months old from the original owner

Don't think there are many (or any) E 46's in this color since it was special order only

OP,

First, welcome to the family :hi I have to say in for pics of your ZHP:) I too was looking for the BMW Performance Carbon Fiber strut brace but what was left cost way too much so I got the ECS Carbon Fiber Strut Bar Kit-Silver instead. Cost was $169.95 and it looks good. :thumbsup

Oh man do I love that car! I would have never thought yellow on gray but it looks good. Thanks for getting those pictures up, and nice car history. Funny that even the license plate is yellow.

EDIT: Now that I look at it even more, not sure how you feel about it because it's a rare color but have you thought about changing out the ambers on the front bumper for body color or clear?

John, I think it's yellow on black. I don't like gray as much as black, so I really like this combo.

Ah, I see now looking at the other pictures, one of them I looked at looked more gray because of the lighting so that was in my head. No WONDER it looks better than I thought, yellow/black makes more sense to me. Thanks Marcus.

Thanks all,

Yes the interior is black - I guess my photog skills and angle of the sun may have made the interior look gray!

Changing the ambers would be interesting but I am a 100% stock guy!

I figured given that car that stock would be the choice. One thing about those reflectors is that they are a simple change out, so it wouldn't be hard to return to stock, if that was a consideration.

Also the original ones become brittle after years of use. I only changed mine to clear because I cracked one. I agree that they are real easy to change, theyre not too expensive and I think it cleans up the look too (clear, smoked or painted)
