sorry if I missed anything

Thank you Dane for inviting me to join here
and Marcus for encouraging me to post my introduction thread :)

let me know what you guys think
I know its not everyones favorite color combo (black and red, blacck rims) LOL
the car is my DD and commuter school (boca raton, 1 hour away)
and waiting to fix my drive way entrance to drop the car in the future

havent had any problems did all maintenance, minus the cooling and vanos overhaul
will be doing vanos hopefully soon and going to save for cooling system

Josh, glad Dane invited you. And I'm glad that I could twist your arm into posting an introduction thread. :biggrin

This place is completely different (as you mentioned). Without the drama, we can concentrate on our cars and each other. We don't have to worry about the other crap.

Welcome!

:hi Welcome Josh! Glad to have you.

Just my 0.02: If you can DIY and unless you've notice something that is typical of VANOS issues, I'd recommend going for cooling system overhaul kit first. Previous owner of my car did not, ran the car with cracked expansion tank, and I ended up having to replace the engine after purchase.

Oh. I like the color combo. :thumbsup

Thank you dane and marcus you guys are awesome :)

thank you bill, i was looking at the level 1 ecstuning cooling kit, would that be good enough? ( i almost have enough selling somestuff to earn money :( )
also i have an annoying acceleration stutter in 3rd and 4th gear around 2800 rpm :(, i figured the stutter was caused by the vanos
although i know the vanos is not detrimental (i think) it just annoys me :( lol

but i see what your saying about the cooling system first, how did you know your expansion tank was cracked
did you engine start to overheat?

We keep it real on this site. If you want drama and lameness, there are plenty of other forums out there for that. If you want professional, informative, and friendly, you've found the spot!

Maybe post a video of your Angel Eye fade? What did you do to install that?

will do i will show what actually occurs and i will probably couple it with my sub video and pics so i dont take up too much thread spacing or bandwith

so look out for the videos, also where would they go?
general zhp forum
or DIY forum

Thanks. My suggestion is DIY if you include directions on how to do it. There is also a lighting forum if you just want to post it, without DIY instructions. Or, simply feel free to post in this thread. There is a thread with directions on how to post videos that Marcus made.

Fade in & out on AE's is standard on most brands. Just have to tap into footwell lighting. Takes about 5 minutes.

correct most AE brands include a second trigger wire that feeds into glove box :)

i will post how i did it anyways along with a video on what the effect looks like lol
just in case anyone wants to do the same
