While washing the ZHP today, my trusty wheel spoke brush broke.

I went scavenger hunting in my garage for something that I could use to clean the 135s and stumbled on this awesome little package of foam brush thingies that I had bought from Home Depot to stain wood.

They work awesome!

Thanks for the tip! I used a kitchen sponge last weekend because I didn't have another option lol. I wouldn't recommend that because the sponge is pretty much toast after one use.

Nice idea. I use a plastic putty knife with a rag wrapped around it. How long do you think that will last.

I was going to comment on how clean the wheel looked in the SS thread (with the M3 valve cap). Now I know why ;)

Cool use of the foam brush! Also Griot's Garage sells basically the same thing, though the foam is round on the end, like a wood & foam Q-tip. Works well for cleaning the small spokes and holes in the 135's.

I'm thinking they'll last a while. No wear at all from today.

Wal Mart sells them too. I use them for applying leather conditioner. Works great.

Those HD ones look like they might be made a little better than the ones I've been using. It doesn't take long until the foam is loose on the stick for me when I use them between the spokes. They also work great for applying Wheel Wax to the whole wheel and for removing it from between the spokes. I've also used them for applying protectant on the dash.
