Has anyone seen or have pictures of a ZHP sedan running fog light delete (no fog light mounted)? I know some of the e46 m3's run like this but wanted to see it on the ZHP. I never use my fogs anyway.

Thanks

Not that I can recall. The closest I've come is to have both fogs shattered.

I have one shattered and the other was torn off by a tire tread.

Yes I've seen a Ci with one. He's a member here.

Doesn't look too bad. I k now there is a piece of plastic on the inside of each fog but i could have it painted black along with the washer fluid reservoir thats visible.

I can't see the road without my fogs. :(

I find my xenons on the zhp seem dimmer than on my m3. My 325i was even brighter. Still don't use the fogs.

Rick, you most likely have burned out ZKW projector bowls which is why the light output is dimmer... I had the same problem comparing my light output from my ZHP to my ///M.

Mine are pretty dim too, how can we find if we have Zkw bowls and whether or not they're burnt?

Just take your headlight apart.

Just look at your headlight lens...in the lower corner it should say ZKW like on my avatar lol

If so, they are more than positively burnt to a crisp :)

Yes, the headlight lens will have a small ZKW symbol with a circle. If not then you will see a small AL symbol instead on your headlight lens.

If you have the "famous" ZKW headlight assembly then all you need to do is pop the Xenon cover and look inside and you will see the projector assembly. if it looks like the following pictures, then you have the same problem the majority of us do. In that case, welcome to the club...fortunately, there is a solution as I and others have found. It's up to you which path you want to go from there. :thumbsup

Here are a few pics...

You can see in the last two pictures where the upper half of the ZKW projector bowls are burned out by seeing the brown/black coloring...should be silver like the bottom part. This is what is causing your diminished light output.

Sounds like another candidate for FX-R retrofit!
