As many of you may already know, I was rear ended recently and my TiAg coupe sustained some minor-ish damage. I've made my claim through insurance and arranged to have my car repaired. I have chosen to have Toyota Autoline's body shop in Niagara Falls do the repair. My friend Mikey is a tech there and a complete German car nut. He recommended I take my car there.
Tomorrow morning I'll be dropping off my car there and picking up the rental car I'll be using until my car is all better. I'll update with pictures and maybe a small review of whatever car I get.
Here are a couple pictures that show the damage better after cleaning all the grime and road salt off

When I talked to Pat, the body shop guy, he said its unlikely there is even an aftermarket company that makes that body panel. They'll have no choice but to go OEM. As far as the bumper goes... I don't know if it will be repaired or if they can find one that is off a wrecked car. He said he will push them for the best possible parts though.

**Update**

I dropped off my car this morning at the body shop and I stuck around for the appraisal. I'm getting a new bumper and they are replacing the body piece that is damaged. Interesting note, the appraiser and Pat pointed out to me that the rear end had already been hit and redone. There was some body filler under where the paint chipped off and there is over-spray behind the bumper cover.

This is the sticker that is on the inside of the bumper. Is this OEM? If it's not, I have to say its very good quality at least.

Alright.. I officially miss my BMW. Driving the Chevy Cruze is depressing. My overall review of it is this; It gets a 1 out of 10 in every category. It is absolute garbage. I hate it.

i drove the cruise @ a GM drive event and it actually wasn't that bad. then again i was pushing it to its limit on their autocross layout and didnt casually drive it by any means lol

***Update***

I just spoke with Pat at the body shop over the phone. He has the OEM body piece welded in, sealed and primed. He's just waiting for the bumper to show up. The appraiser said to order an aftermarket bumper which was around $300. Pat said he didn't want to but he has to use what they tell him to use. So he ordered it and it never showed up. He called my adjuster and told him the bumper still isn't at the shop and the adjuster said to just order an OEM Bumper from BMW. Pat says I should have my car back by Wednesday at the latest. :)

Lol yayyayayayyaya no more chevy cruze :) . I have to get surgery on my hand on Thursday morning to have pins put in the bone because it's not set straight at all. Hopefully I get my car before then as scheduled. Driving standard with one hand is pretty hard.
