Front drivers side tire. I have continental run flats. Can I plug this? Currently there doesn't seem to be any air leaking from it. What do?

I may be ignorant, but would not worry about it since you have run flats.

When I got a nail in my rear tire about the same place you did, they said it was too close to the edge to plug or patch.

BTW it is still holding air. No idea how long it has been there though.

Who told you they won't plug it Hokie? I think the opinion varies but I know that BMW will always replace it and never repair it no matter what.

Just the tire shop I went to. Mine was a little further out though...

Or they said they couldn't patch it, I don't remember if they said it wouldn't plug or not.

To far out to plug - it's replacement time. Just had same thing on one of my tires. It's on the shoulder outside the belts which is why they can't plug.

I would plug it, but that's just me. I wouldn't plug it if it were literally on the sidewalls.

Also, Connie DWSs are run-flats??

I think I'm gonna leave it in until it starts to leak air. Then I'll plug it.

As far as I know these are run flats. The PO put them on, and there isn't a spare in the trunk. So if he lied, I'm up shit creek without a paddle.

I don't think they're run flats. Those are the dws's afaik. It'll say on the sidewall if they are. At least my Dunlop winters do.

I thought they weren't run-flats...

Edit: I had a small screw in a similar location. Tire was holding air but I told the shop to plug it up, anyway. Haven't had a problem since!

But last I knew, run flats can not be patched anyway. They need to be disposed, so I've heard :dunno

Rear or front? When I had a similar problem with one of my rears I filled it with SLIME, drove for almost a year and won the auto-x class I was competing in. Then I just replaced the tire.

With fronts, when you 1st start to drive the, Slime will need some time to spread around so you feel a little vibration in the wheel for the 1st 10 mins or so. With rears none of this is an issue.

My guess, since the wheel is turned, it's a front tire.
