So it started Tuesday :/

When ever I turn my wheel there is a noise...not like a grinding more like a errrrhhhhh noise coming from the front passenger side. I believe it to be a the wheel bearing in my control arm maybe?? The noise seems to be coming from both sides on the front and I know the bearings need to be replaced soon. I have checked my power steering fluid and all is normal so I believe I can rule that out.

If it is the bearing's, should I just replace the whole control arm and upgrade to the ZHP lower control arms?

Is it creaky? On my E30, the control arm bushings would creak when I turned the wheel. They were worn out.

There is no wheel bearings in your control arm.

There is a wheel bearings.

There are control arm inner and outer ball joints.

Lift passenger front corner and give the tire a good yank. Check for movement axially/radially.

My bad I ment Ball joints.....sorry hehe

I have been told by the dealership that they were starting to go out...that was back when I had my DSC issue troubleshot.

Would I be better off just replacing the Control arms by upgrading to the ZHP control arms?

I would go with the Meyle control arms. Was very happy with them in my 325 and the ball joints are removable.

ECSTuning is not an affiliate.

That suspension kit and suspension overhaul kit is sound.

You would most likely be looking at a day.....if it was the first time doing it. I could probably do it in about 8 hours.

I would do the suspension one day.....then do the control arms, tie rods, etc....the next day.

Then get an alignment.

You could check AutohausAZ.

They really don't offer any coilovers though.

Are you sure it's not wheel bearings? Wouldn't you get more of a clunk over bumps from ball joints? The noise you described sounds more like wheel bearings.

It is a ball joint....I took it back to the indy that did my brakes cause they had been making a sqeeking noise while stopping and they were only 2 months old and they test drove my car to hear the noise and they came back got it on the lift and confirmed that my Ball joint is about to go out :/ so thats how i'm sure its the ball joint lol

(and yes I know how to do my own brakes I just didn't have enough free time when I needed to get them replaced...hence why I took it to the indy hehe...next time i'm doing it myself so then I know 100% it's done right.)

Good thing you caught it in time then. You don't want one of those to let loose!
