Check out what BMW is using in it's 2012 Value Service add campaign.

I first saw it Friday at the dealer in full poster form. Then when I got home this pamphlet was in the mail. Then again yesterday when thumbing through the new April 2012 Rundell I found it on page 22. I want that poster.

My Sport? No style 135's.

Pretty sweet regardless.

There's one of these posters at my work. I've looked at this pic many many times..

I think it just has to be a 330i with M-tech II bumper(s) since it has the normal 330i rims. Or might just be an M-pack, as Dane said.

Also, It doesn't have the chrome slats in the grille.

That is most definitely a euro E46. BMW hasn't been one known to use modified cars in their ad campaigns. That known, that is a euro E46 M-Sport. Clear corners and style 68's are a dead giveaway.

I thought long and hard about it before I even opened the packet to see what it was about. Lol

Clear corners? It could just have winter tires on. M-sport Package also comes with 135's.

In my experience BMW has always used Euro models in their pictures, here is a perfect example from BMW.com's page for "BMW Value & Care" (I'm guessing that is the same as the Value Service named in this ad):

http://www.bmw.com/_common/shared/owners/service/value_care/img/2011/overview.jpg

http://www.bmw.com/com/en/owners/service/value_care/bmw_value_care_overview.html

and this is the equivalent page on BMWusa.com: http://www.bmwusa.com/Standard/Content/Owner/BMWCenterServices/BMWValueService.aspx

Didn't the euro M-package cars come with splitters?

as far as I know no car came with splitters (CSL did get them but that is a M car, not M package), they were an available part but not standard. Kinda like the strut brace, rotors, intake, etc...

Anthracite headliner and shadow line trim also... I picked over the car when I got the mailer a few days ago also.

Also liked the ad. There is one mistake, however. It omits the 2006 330Ci Coupe from list of cars covered. Hope that's just an oversight and this car will be covered.

Nope. Only the Clubsport came with them. Clubsport is not the same as M-Sport.

There is a possibility that this is not a 330i. The M-Sport package was available to everything from the 316i to the 330i.

I received that pamphlet in the mail last week and thought it was a smart campaign (by putting a pic of the kind of car I drive). A beautiful picture of the older e46, the kind that likely needs attention. But that's just it, the dealers a extending a hand to have the car fixed at their place.

Prices inside were not horrible (the whole point of that campaign) for oil changes and brake jobs. Still mafias and DIYers won't bite that fruit.

The headliner in the pic does not look like anthracite to me.

No F^'king way? I didn't know that. I thought it was just for 330i & ci's ?

So i could get a 316i but looks exactly the same as ZHP?

outside of the US, yes. Theoretically you could get a 320d with a M-Tech II kit

Does this "value service" apply to any bmw owner? How were the prices compared to a decent european/import mechanic? My dad isnt a DIY'er so he's gonna need a good mechanic after the miles pack on his.

it's only fluid change. If he needs a mechanic then best bet is to have him sign up for BMW CCA, then find a local indy that gives a CCA discount (I've seen 10-15%)

Oil change was $79, brakes were $250 front I think and I can't remember the other stuff.

Yes. The dead giveaway with the 316i obviously would be the single, tiny, lonely tailpipe in the back, fitting in a cutout designed for two larger pipes. :rofl

^Woa..

I asked my dealer about this and they said my car has to have a warrant from bmw either extended or certified... No use for me.
