ive had cf splitters before but the fitment was not great and my cf cracked badly...

i do like the aggressive feel they add to it but if i was to buy splitters again...i want perfect fitment...

what do you guys think??

splitters or no splitters?

To me it depends on what else is done to your car so that it complements it. For a relatively stock car or mildly done up, I vote no splitters...

This. I am going to try to keep the outside of my car fairly stock so no splitter for me!

I'm not sure I follow, the cf splitters on your car look good... are you just worried about them cracking again?

Splitters, for me this is a part not needed in CF, plastic for me.

the biggest concern i have is fitment....i dun want them to scratch my bumper again...

and if i was to get none cf...i would look for OEM club sport splitters. =)

There are some who like cf splitters and then there are some who prefer plastic ones. Since I don't use either all I can add is that if done right, the cf ones do look awesome but need more TLC than the plastic ones do. Looking at my cf lips, they do take a beating and it shows on the clear coat over the cf material. Eventually they will need retreated otherwise they will not look good. only problem with carbon fiber but when fresh, man do they look good :drool

Splitters look great on the E46 M3 bumper cover but I have never liked them on a ZHP. They look like bucked teeth to me (or I suppose those would be fangs since they're not in the middle haha). I think the stock ZHP bumper cover looks great the way it is, or with a lip like cakM3.

+1 Hoping they come down in price some day like the other things (intake, strut bar).

How did the fitment cause bumper scratches?

I have had my CF splitters for probably 2.5 months. The fitment is good and they haven't cracked, nor yellowed.

Looks good. OK, what was your trick on fitment? Could you send a few close up pics? (These are Khoalty, right)?

He put the 1/2" of "non-fit" to the inner edges.

The inner part had a gap and it kept on moving up and down. I guess I didnt use 3m tape. I just used bolts to bolt it down.
