Does anybody have any good ideas for making use of an unused CD changer compartment in the trunk? I put some tools in mine for now. Just wheel locks, an 11 in 1 screwdriver, flashlight, and a Leatherman for now. Obvious note: I have an aftermarket stereo for ipod and satellite radio, so I am set audio-wise.

Well, I dunno what this says about me, but first thing that comes to mind is drugs. Lol.

Tools make sense though...maybe a microfiber?

(disclaimer: I don't actually use it for that)

Trim panel clips, various-sized o-rings, and an extra E46Fanatics sticker is what I have in there :p

Rocket launcher, flame thrower...(Sorry, had a bit of J. Clarkson kick in there...)

Microfiber, 4 in 1 screwdriver, zip ties...& more microfiber.

In addition to some things already named, I keep toothbrush/toothpaste, socks and a lighter in there. You never know when you might need one of those

There is a first aid kit in mine. Reminds me I should wrap a microfiber around it so it doesnt make noise.

Are you a little worried about keeping a lighter in a very hot trunk in hot southern CA? Not saying it will catch fire, but it might bust open.

It's not that hot in my part of San Diego, I've had one in there on and off for years with no issue yet

4 quarts of oil fit just fine in my 325xi touring when I still owned it.

That's actually a seriously awesome idea.
