maybe its the picture but there is a light spot on the drivers side mat. Is that wear from a shoe ankle or...?

ok. What is the ripped backing you speak of? I am not seeing anything in the pic. Edit: I think I see. there should be black circles but they are missing. And are these OEM or reproductions?

These are 100% OEM of course. The problem happened when my mechanic had my car detailed to surprise me (he'd had the car a week longer than anticipated).

The detailing shop (i.e. a crummy car wash) put the mats down on wet carpet after shampooing them. When I pulled out the floor mats, the Velcro ripped off the back. Groan. The mats were new from the previous season too.

As I mentioned--they still work fine, could be easily repaired etc... I'm just insanely anal.

Also included are the 8 velcro anchors that go on your floor (not pictured)
