Hey All,

The name's Jon and I'm new here at ZHP Mafia! Glad to finally be on the forum and get a chance to be more involved in the community. I wish I had known about SIG FEST earlier as I would have definitely attended!!!

Below are a few shots of the ZHP when I got it back in July of '11 and a recent shoot with my friend's E36.

I mainly am active on E46 Fanatics but foresee that shifting here. I have been organizing and coordinating events in the PDX area each month, from G2G's to simple Cars & Coffee Meets, and cruises to various locations around the PNW.

Anyway, thanks for allowing me to become part of the fam! Now onto the pics!

Thanks everyone!

Keith and Elric, I wanted to ask how you both enjoy the CDV Delete on your ZHP's? I've been reading into it a lot. I just got a new Stage II UUC Clutch and Lightweight Flywheel, but anything to perfect driving I am game for!

I also wanted to ask how you all like the Jim Conforti Shark Injector? I'm looking at that as an option but also Eurocharged's options as well. Just looking for a bit more power and have the ability to tweak and retune in the near future when I have real cash for F/I.

Thanks in advance!

Welcome Jon! How's Portland?

Thanks Gary!

Portland's well, same ol' uniqueness about it. Nice that the occupiers have finally folded and bailed out of Downtown where I work. Weather has been amazing here lately but is starting to dip back into the abyss of rain, clouds, and wind haha!

Jon, I completely recommend the CDV delete. It changed the 'feel' of the car to what I thought it should be like. In my opinion, it is a 'must do' mod.

Welcome. The Z is looking good! Thanks for sharing pictures.

Did you smoke your RCRs or did they come that way?

CDV delete/modified CDV install is the first thing all manual tranny owners should do IMO, along with a clutch stop. two cheap and easy mods to make shifting soooo much smoother.

oh and welcome btw!

Agreed on both points. CDV delete wasn't a priority for me until I drove a CDVless ZHP. Night and day as far as 1-2 shifts are concerned.

My car has always been sharked as it was done by the previous owner, so I don't have much to compare it to, but a member here who test drove my car before I bought said it was noticeably faster than any of the other ZHPs he had driven.

Thanks for that! I'll definitely be doing this soon!

They came that way. These are the Eagle Eye from Khoa. Had these since July when I got the car and I love them. I definitely love em and have not had issues with them at all. Only thing I have had has been the taillight issue with the harness and the fact that my car is not eligible for the recall that was issued. I replaced the bulb housing and rewired the harness but I'm still getting hyperblink on the left taillight and the wrong bulb flashes for the turn signal.... :applause

I'll be diagnosing that this week....trying to get everything locked in for the Leavenworth Drive.

Sweet, definitely good to hear! How easy was the mod to do? I've read up on the DIY quite a bit but my main question is bleed/no-bleed? I've seen mixed responses on that one.

Welcome

Thanks!

Hahah, I wish!!! I used to have a Nikon D800 but had to sell to keep funding my college education. These were takin by my buddy Andy though.

Good to know! I'm gonna wait for the jump to a tune since I'm verrrry happy with how it is now, just always love to have that extra bit of power to the wheels. Coming from owning an RS4 Avant, my sister totaling that, and having to be forced into a Hyundai Tiburon by the folks only to return to a euro, and a ZHP at that, I am very satisfied.

Welcome! Nice shots, especially with both cars together.

Thanks! Props to my buddy Andy for em!

gotta bleed the system after the CDV delete, unless you're Dane and just a total badace.

Will do!

I figured its better to do it than not, but I'm curious as to what others will say too.

Either way, looking forward to doing this mod.

+1-- wasn't worth taking the chance for me. The bleed was easy once you figure out the angle to get the little 6mm wrench on the bleeder valve.

Thanks Pip! Its been fun tinkering with everything. I'm thinking of doing the wheels glossy white in the next week or so for Leavnworth and am also having the interior re-done in a two tone, seats only in white. Front seat inserts in white, and left and right rear seat inserts in white, leaving the rear center seat black.

Something like this:

Thanks! The E36 actually belongs to my friend Kristin, but I definitely do want one of my own at some point....after I acquire a 2800CS and an E30 M3.

Thanks man!

I'll do a review after I've hit the first 3k on the clutch and flywheel. I've already gotten a initial review typed up, just wanting to get more miles on before I unleash it. Definitely has completely changed the driving on the car. Now all I need is the CDV delete and then it will be perfected.
