My wife's birthday is the same weekend as this meet. Similarly, the baby's birthday is right around the same time. Almost could not get out of a birthday party commitment. As it turns out, the party dates are being shuffled.

Need a little help!
I know many of you would love to try my Buffalo Wings but, my cooking capacity is very limited. So, I'm looking for deep fryers, the more we have the quicker the wings get cooked. With 5 or 6 fryers, I can cook 50 wings every 10 minutes and that may work.

^ I have a friend that does a wing fest every year for the superbowl. He bakes them first and then flash frys them in a fryer before tossing them around in sauce. Only issue is his wings have gotten so famous that every year he has more and more people at his party, which means he needs more fryer space. A typical house can't handle that many plugged in at once. Both of his houses that he has lived at can't handle more than one or rarely 2 fryers on a particular circuit due to the amperage they draw. When he has 2 on the same circuit he's constantly battling tripping the breakers. So unless there are multiple sockets on different circuits close by in the same area, this may be hard to accomplish... It took him almost 2.5 hours this last year to do 35 peoples orders of wings (10-15 wings a person) with this fryer situation. He had a lot of meat that didn't get cooked because of it.

But of course DW is da man, he has a generator separate of his home electrical grid so if needed the generator could power nothing but fryers -- multiple kWs, don't think you can plug in enough fryers to overpower that generator.

If that happens, going to head down from Ffx Stn/Lorton area about 0600 on Sat, could pull off one of the Stafford exits to get you to drop in line with us. Think my oldest son is going Friday afternoon and will be under Dane's guidance (do you mind DW?? give him a corner to curl up in, won't be the first time (or last) he's slept on the floor, or I'll send him with a tent), if not he'll be with me on Sat morning too.

And for Justin, young people power, Preston may be traveling with his buddy Nick from last year (OB 325 sedan) and Stefano (SG 135 coupe with K-Pro's type of power). If it does end up being 3 of them, I'll likely just get the boys a room at Hilton for Friday night, please take any & all keys from them if they should imbibe. Then they'll just have to bum a ride to back & forth.

Yep. Some of us have already discussed the possibilities. Past a certain point in alcohol consumption, no one will be leaving my property unless by taxi, skateboard or by foot.

My dad allowed us to have a few parties back in the day when I was much younger. He took everyone's keys when they came in, that was the ground rule, no keys, no enty. He tossed them all in a big bag that he carried with him. Then when they wanted to leave they had to go see him, talk to him, describe their keys to the letter, and even call their parents to tell them they were on the way home. I think we had almost 2 dozen guys stay the night each time, much better than letting loose cannons out on the road. Its a shame in today's litigious society that something similar can't be accomplished by responsible parties.

I think this is a great idea. And Brett and I have already chatted a lot about parking and coordinating the need to get cars in and out. We also talked about how to manage people that are drinking. I lost a best buddy in a car accident that had a SOBER driver... So I have absolutely NO problem taking them from people that've had too much or appear to be less than sober.
Does this mean that we can make them "walk the plank" if someone gets unruly? :mwah Seriously though, it is a very important issue, as we want to be sure that all family members are around to enjoy the rest of the weekend with us, not just Friday night.

Ahh another great offer, thanks for that! Seeing as how I have a 4 door, I might let you be the designated alternate owner/driver of my car for the weekend. I really don't plan on/want to drink much as I just don't like feeling crappy the next day. A beer or two here or there, but that'll probably be it for me... :thumbsup Thanks rando!

And then we have so many new people coming, I want to see their cars too! I'm about a 2 hour drive away from there. Not sure when I will be in the Boston area to pick it up for you. I'll already be bringing some stuff down to sell on the way to VA. I think it would fit in the back seat with everything else. PM me and we can probably set up something.
The other thing is you could have the seller ship it via GREYHOUND shipping. Just make sure it's packaged very well. I shipped the whole radiator support along with front bumper brace to Washington for about 50 dollars. It was a huge package and it took a little longer than expected but it was far less than UPS. I got a quote for about 250 to ship it via UPS. I don't know how people on EBAY can ship it for nothing.

My M3 rep from umnitza shipped greyhound and im just about positive if it had been made of ABS it would have gotten busted. The package was still intact but you could tell it had been slung around a bit. It is a much cheaper option with heavier bulky stuff though, mine had to come across country I believe it took around a week to get to me iirc.

Thanks Familia! Just wanted to make sure I wasn't going to be relocated with work and not be able to attend. I have twisted Jon's arm to assist us with Friday parking, and BP has agreed to run the Mafia Ring Taxi if we need it, so we should hopefully be in good shape. Now, please order dry weather so lawn parking is a non-issue!

Hi All - Thanks for keeping the list current. If anyone else cannot make it, please help us keep the list up to date, as it helps us with parking planning for Friday.
Last year Friday evenings' parking at the Wilson household was first come, first served. If we tried to do it in order of signup, it would be a logistical nightmare with traffic backed up in the street, etc. What we need is some dry weather so that we can park on the grass and not trash DW's yard. Our plan is to pack as many members as we can in on Friday, so be sure to park close. We may be able to handle more then 30 cars in Dane's yard/driveway if the weather cooperates. Rain plan is satellite parking with a few ZHP taxis running the route with people onboard. Hopefully that won't be necessary. Looking forward to seeing everyone!

For each dollar you donate, you will be given one raffle ticket for last year meet banner.
Money donated pays for London Broil (prepared by David on Friday night-From NC), and Hots, and Roadside beans (plus condiments, buns, etc) prepared by Gary (GMATT-From NY) for Friday night as well. It also allows me to purchase beverages to include beer, soda, and water for Friday night. Some of the money also goes to misc supplies if there's anything left over after all of the necessities, otherwise I pay out of pocket.
I also purchase the 3' x 10' banner for each years meet that the last two years has been designed by RoverT (Trevor).
I also purchased 3 prizes (1st, 2nd, and 3rd) for for the Road Rally.

Rule 1: clean out all the road grime in the inner fender lip
Rule 2: use a heat gun to warm the metal & paint up around the wheel edge, try to make it more pliable
Rule 3: go gradually with pressure rather than too strong, you can roll over it multiple times while heating to prevent cracking the paint
Rule 4: enjoy, it wasn't that hard

Jacking up, removing wheels, setting jack stands takes about the same time as the actual rolling process. I'd say once you're in the air, 10 minutes per corner and that includes bolting up and removing the roller mechanism.

Preston in his ZHP, Stefano in his 135 w/ 400+ whp, Tarryck to keep the two of them in line (2 cars, 3 people). You met these guys back in October at my house, good guys. Tarryck is a teetotaler so please remind him he has the Preston & Stefano watch on Friday night, and trust me he'll definitely take that to heart like a good young NCO, he'll make sure they stay in line. And he has the beef to back it up.
As for me, early Sat arrival, Brett has to work that day, so looks like just me and Jon Estrella in two of the cars. We're day attendees only, both of us have early Sunday commitments back up here.

Well I regret to say that I will not make the meet, as some have notice I have not been posting as usual. Due to health issues over last few weeks and scheduled surgery on the 21st traveling will be rough during that weekend.
I was really looking forward to meeting a lot you that I converse with on this awesome forum.

Unfortunately guys and gals, you won't get to meet me this year again. The flood we had in chicago fucked up all kinds of electronics in my car and its sitting at the dealer now for a dme replacement. Won't be able to squeeze a trip down to VA unfortunately this year.. Sorry its last minute, hopefully i still have the car for next years event.

Alright I've been avoiding this as I was hoping that somehow I would be able to work things out as I've been wanting to come to one of the reunions since I joined the family. Due to financial issues as well as some other things going on with the car I won't be able to attend this year. Lots of little things came up that required maintenance that have dipped heavily into my Reunion money so sadly it is not going to be something I can commit to this year. I hope that everyone has a wonderful time and I look forward to seeing pics from this year. Hopefully we will all get to meet before next year but I was hoping to make it to this gathering. Best of luck to all of those that will be traveling.
The group of people that I have been blessed to meet on this forum will always be like a second family to me and I appreciate how much everyone has done to help me over the years and look forward to actually meeting you all in the future.
