So, unfortunately, I don't think I'll be able to make this year's meet. I was just told yesterday that I've got a job interview on Thursday, and I need this job to help pay for my racing school. And I was really looking forward to meeting everybody :( but there is always next year! Who knows, I may be able to make it yet depending on how the interview goes, but I highly doubt I'll be able to get up there with how busy I am otherwise. Hooray for real life.

Pains me to say it. Car is still down. And while many have reached out to give me a lift, my back pain is still present and extended time spent in a car will only hurt the healing process.

I'm no longer able to attend either :( This is the third year I have had to cancel shortly before heading down. As some know my transmision went out, and now I'm having other issues with the car that have tapped out my wallet. I therefore am unable to financially be able to attend this year. So I picked up "Hello my name is." name tags for the peeps and removable name tags for the cars. The removable tags are just like the dot stickers they put on the windshields at autocross events, ie They will not hurt the glass and remove easily! I remember last year looking over a few cars and couldn't figure out who they belonged to, the car tags will help. And yes, I'll even put one on Lucy.

Yup, 150k on my stock original expansion tank. Just drove 350 miles today in 90* heat! Then another 700 before the end of the week after the meet!

Driving from Blacksburg to Virginia beach today reminded me of how great of a highway car it is! I had the windows down once it cooled off to 85 or so. Cruising down interstate 64 with the windows down blaring some sister hazel! Great day!

Mine lasted 168,900 until it was changed out preventatively by PO. Seems to be the luck of the draw unfortunately.

You shouldn't have any trouble. My ballast went out (control unit) and I drove without one for over a month with no issues

If you have a warranty why isn't BMW covering the part and labor? I went looking to see if I had the proper module - hoping it was the same from my X5...it isn't. Sorry, I tried to see if I could come to the rescue.

I stay all the way east and take 13 down to the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel.

It's worth it for me to hook in from the coast to avoid that hellish DC beltway.
