Guys,

I have a quick question, if your VR failed on the alternator, and the alternator is putting out 18Volts, would the battery light come on or does it only come on for low charge ?

Also how likely are the ECU and ABS module to be fried if driving for a few hundred miles on the car overcharging ? Isn't the battery supposed to act as a damper in these situations ?

Asked my dad and he said its actually very hard to fry your ecu / other modules. First there are resistors that goes to the battery do it keeps the voltage stable second there's a battery which acts like a firewall and third there are fuses which disables the connection to the modules :) your alright.
