View Full Version : BMW Performance Value Service Club - Check your local dealer
I just got an awesome letter from my dealer. I don't know if other dealerships are doing this, but it is certainly worth looking into. This one is from Performance BMW of Chapel Hill.
What is it?
If you own a:
- BMW with > 100,000 miles
- < 2003 5-series
- < 2005 3-series
- < 2006 X5
- < 2001 7 series
- Any model Z3
- < 2006 X3
You can sign up for this program. The program includes:
1. 15% off all service and repair
2. 10% off all over the counter parts purchases
3. $47.50 diagnosis charge (1 hour diagnosis) - 50% off their normal price (very worth it for things you just cannot figure out)
4. Special maintenance pricing on all maintenance services. Oil services, brakes, tires, alignments, coolant flushes, etc. are all performed at a discount
5. Loaner scheduling
6. Any $750 service or more gets a professional hand wash, vacuum, glass cleaning, tire shine, and wheel detail
Very cool. I am receiving info on it, I don't know if it costs much, but that sounds absolutely awesome considering how often I buy parts from my dealer.
Looks like my local dealer is trying to compete with indies around here. I don't blame them with the amount of older BMWs I see driving around. It certainly is compelling.

Please post more details when you get them! I too will go to the dealer for most parts and service that I cannot do, so I would be VERY interested in this... Thanks for the heads up. :)

ooooh - Kewl !!!
For all intents and purposes, this applies to us :) Basically, if you've got an E46, you qualify. I don't know if this costs any money yet, but the word "club" in their brochure makes me think so...
We'll see. They should be contacting me Monday.

Tell those effers to stop forgetting about the '06 coupes/verts. Can't believe even BMW forgets about their own. Need to put this in the "what grinds your gears". Many sites, etc only list to '05 for E46s and forget '06s.

I think the idea of joining the service might explain why the stealership still tried to quote me a 160 dollar oil change.

I just received a 10% discount from my local dealer on for the next $1000 worth of parts or service. The transaction amount is subtracted from the starting $1000, so it is not a one time 10% deal, but until spend a total of $1000. And that is on top of my regular 25% CCA discount:thumbsup. Granted, I'll place big orders online, but for little things here and there, who wouldn't want to save a little bit more? I wonder if this is a BMWUSA sponsored program, or offered by the individual dealers.

I have seen a few advertisements in LA/SF about the BMW value service program for older BMWs. Yes, I think BMW is trying to get in on the older car services. My dealer in SF does it. They have worked on my car a few times.

Why wouldnt this apply to an 06?! Is it still "too new" to them? Or is BMW playing "dumb" and forgetting they still made E46 coupes in 06. Im gonna have to go with the latter.

I agree, likely the latter, which is what grinds my gears. How could freakin' BMW forget this?

For those of you on Bimmerfest forums, I saw a BMW Service Program advertisement... I clicked on it and I think it was this same sort of thing, but now I can't find the ad... I'll keep an eye out and see if I can locate it...

Im sure you could complain to them and have it work for your car. Who knows. I really hate to be "that guy" who complains about stuff to people who didnt make the rules and are only doing their job, but if you do it nicely Im sure you can get your way.

You talking about the years? Oh, I'm sure it was a simple oversight and any BMW SA with half a brain would take it w/o questions. Just think it's lame on their part to forget to include that year. They probably didn't want to get it mixed up with the E9X series.
