I decided to detail my moms 2003 Subaru Baja, I got some Iron Cut to get rid of the tons of metal particles stuck to the paint. Bought in 2005 its never been waxed other than the car wash spray wax.

I gave the Iron cut I bought a shot and here's a few pic's of it in action. It removed about 80% if not more of the crap and then the clay took care of the little bit left.

It was a great product it worked amazing. I gave the car a wash, then gave it a quick wipe down with a microfiber towel. Not perfectly dry the car was damp still. I then sprayed it with the Aquartz and let sit for a few minutes. Then used a sponge to rub it around and then rinsed with water.

I used my Iphone so the pic's are bad but you get the idea.

Yea never using it again. Is there a product that does the same thing with a less offensive aroma?

Probably not. It's what you get when you deal with an organic chemical.

I use IronX, it smells like rotten eggs.

Cool show Ryan. I'm debating getting some of this for use with our Tundra.

Yes it stinks, it's extremely strong while spraying but it kicks but.

I say it's a great before a clay. It helped cut down on the time spent claying especially on a car that's not maintained regularly.

That's my hopes. Might have to pull the trigger on this then. Thanks!

Same. I used IronX and I'm never using that trash again. I used it like 3 weeks ago and my garage STILL STINKS. My car does too every time I wash it.

I'm still pissed about it if you can't tell..

Yep, IronX is what I used. Driveway stunk for weeks. It did help the clay process, though.

Did you tape off your calipers or anything? On autogeek.net it was recommending to tape off all bare metal, calipers etc..

I didn't have iron x but it's the same thing I'm sure. As for it staying stunk it completely went away after I washed the car after treatment. The driveway itself didn't smell even after.

As for covering the brake calibers I did not I just used the stream setting and tried to not get the brakes. I don't recall it stating covering them.
